Last words

Transcript of phone conversation between me, surveying near-empty fridge, and Pellinor, on his way home:
Me: "Will we die if we eat a sausage and bacon quiche that says it was best before two days ago?"
Pellinor: "No."
Me: "Are you sure?"
Pellinor: "Definitely."

I just want this to go on record. If we end up dead, it was his fault!

I feel the phrase, "famous last words" creeping into my head....

Actually, a few hours later, while playing Guild Wars, Pellinor observed, "Last time we came to this map, we met lots of really tough baddies. It's really easy this time." Two minutes later, we died horribly - not once, but about ten times - to a massive crowd of necromantic dwarves. So hopefully that absorbed the "famous last words" curse, and rendered us safe from the quiche.

Yes, but you always have voices in your head so that doesn't count.

?????

Or did you mean this as a reply to Evilmissbecky?

How many times do I have to tell you: you click "reply to this", not "post a new comment"?

I did, then I accidentally hit the "Post a new comment" link underneath the draft letter instead of the "Post Comment" button an inch away from it, and the comment I'd done as a reply to EvilMissBecky appeared as a new one.

I was going to delete it and start again, but you told me off for that too.

So there :-p

Didn't tell you off. I just pointed out that, if you delete a comment and resend a corrected version, the person you're replying to gets both copies emailed to them (assuming they have that option turned on.) At least if you correct it, the person whose comment you intended to reply to gets told that you've replied to them. This way, evilmissbecky is living in blissful ignorance about the fact that you were just rude to her.

(And, yes, I think I just confused myself with that explanation. Must be nearly time to go home now...)

I'm assuming if you are both still quibbling like this, you must have survived the Quiche of Death.

Blissful no more. Instead I am pouting over the grievous insult to my mental state.

Thank goodness I have the voices in my head to console me.
