Temporal disturbance
Jan. 23rd, 2006 01:57 pmA few weeks ago, Pellinor's bedside clock inexplicably dropped four hours during the night, and was still saying it was 4, when it was really 8, and well past time to get up. There had been no power cut. Last night, my bedside clock gained four hours, so I woke up, saw that it was 9.45, and leapt out of bed in horror, before realising that if it really was 9.45, then the end of the world had come, and Fenris Wolf had devoured the sun.
It seems strange that two separate clocks should do this. I'm trying to work out what is more likely: alien visitations, the proximity of fairy realms, or a wormhole into a galaxy far, far away.
I think I'll take the fairy option. Fairy men are pretty, and I bet they are tolerant of morris dancing.
