Outrage!

Sitting there, kind of slightly the worse for homemade strawberry wine, in the garage (i.e. the former garage, now a library) we were doing the usual "Hey! You should read that!" and "You should read this!" and "You should read that!". Suddenly we notice that... *gasp* Where are our Lords of the Rings???? Pellinor's three volume black paperbacks are there, but where is my blue hardback? Where is Pellinor's yellow paperback single volume? Where? Where? Where?

Much wandering around the house reveals nothing. Two Lords of the Rings have vanished... as if a hobbit has put on a ring and... Gone.

Oh dear. Possibly now you know what the mice you keep finding have been using for their nests.

Oh dear! Borrowed in years past? Or were they put in the 'library' when it was first de-garaged? Although depending on how long that's been the first question may still apply. If not then maybe loaned out at some point since the Dramatic Reading?

There was a Wightfrag a couple of years ago when you were giving away duplicate copies of books. I don't remember if there were any LOTR in the pile though.

Someone on facebook was complaining the other day that her dogs had been, er, "reading" one of her new books ...
