How can you mention Pitt, Bean and Bloom and not Eric Bana (Hector)? I think he's the best actor in it. I really liked Troy. I would consider it to be a depiction of a myth rather than an historical account. Sort of like someone doing a Malory King Arthur film with jousting and stuff.
I agree that it has good actors in it. Richard Harris (Priam) is also worth a mention. My only problem with the casting is that if you're casting Helen (who after all is meant to be the most beautiful woman in the world), you should try to ensure that she is the most beautiful woman in the film.
