Well, a lot of my mother's expressions came from
her
mother,* and
she
was from Wellington, Shropshire. So possibly it's not a Wrexham thing after all.
* e.g. "Cock your ub-jug!" meaning "Pass your plate!", or "spuntle" for "spoonful".
