I'm sure we get far more dead furries here than I ever remember from the rural lanes of Gloucestershire - though I suppose that was 20 years ago, when traffic was lighter. Maybe our island wildlife is just suffering from deprivation, social exclusion and the like, since the Solent means that it can't benefit from the Traffic Avoidance Wisdom passed on by their mainland brethren.
