Pellinor's on this side. At least he was forewarned this time, and brought work home yesterday, just in case. He does rather need to be in work, though, so will have to go in later, even if the ferries don't start running until 4 or so.
I think we're supposed to be force 9 on the land now, though someone did swear blind to me that they'd heard through sailing channels that it was force 12 in some parts of the Solent. Someone measured 99 mph at the Needles, but the Met Office denies it.
